My academic training taught me to see and understand systems, or the "big picture".  My business experience has shown me how to view the details.  Thus, I know how to see the forest, as well as the trees.

I've also long felt the call to public service, as summarized below:

Was assistant Operations Officer of the 1st Battalion, 2nd Armored Training Brigade, Ft. Knox.  Received an Honorable Discharge due to a medical condition.

Member, Newton County Board of Elections

Have been on the Board since it received control of elections from the Probate Court Judge. Helped the bring the elections process through numerous expansions and technical upgrades, including the new electronic system. Helped with actual elections work, didn’t "just sit on the Board and pass resolutions".

Have served as Chairman of the Council on Ministries, as a member of the Administrative Board, and am a member of the Builders Sunday School class.
